Anila’s Authentic Sauces make great tasting premium curry sauces, chutneys and pickles from natural ingredients at their factory in west London. Anila and her husband, Dan, have built the business up over the last 20 years, starting from Anila’s kitchen at home, and now supply major retailers, food halls, delicatessen, health food stores, and speciality food shops as well as having a thriving presence at farmer’s markets and speciality food shows.
Nigel was first involved with Anila’s in 2006 and 2007 when he and a Manufacturing Advisory Service colleague, Andy, worked on a couple of projects to maximise factory output and, at the same time, increase the amount of marketing publicity in food magazines as part of the company’s growth strategy. Nigel also introduced Anila to the London Metropolitan University who were able to provide expert technical advice for food manufacturers.
Towards the end of 2010 Anila re-engaged Nigel to provide mentoring support to further develop the company’s strategy for growth. This involved regular meetings throughout 2011 and into 2012, working out and implementing new strategies and initiatives to drive the business forward.
